STONE QUALITY
Quality of the dimension stone
depend on the geotechnical specifications and
attracting in cladding, facing, flooring, etc. So a good
quality dimension stone should possess the following
qualities:
Attractive colors
Uniformity in color and texture
Free from flaws
Can be polished easily
Hard and can withstand friction and abrasion, especially sharp edges during cutting.
Free of depositional cavities
Selection of a stone quality for facing, cladding, flooring, stairs,
lining etc depends on its chemical composition, color, hardness,
texture etc. architect select the stone quality after the approval of
Geologist recommendations because some stone are composed
those minerals which will react with rain water, snow, freezing,
sunlight etc.
For example Onyx is a very expensive stone quality but it will lose
its color in open cladding, facing, and flooring. Granite is a hard stone
quality but its water absorption capacity is more than all stone
quality except sand stone. The mineral pyroxene will react with
the absorbed water in open air so finally pyroxene minerals shrinks
and detached from the tile leaving small cavities in granite.

The deposits of both stone qualities are capable to provide SBD
“Standard Block Dimension” and regular blocks.According to the
Geo-Technical report the deposit can provide 40% SBD and 60%
regular blocks for more than 100 years to the world marble market.
We can supply it in the following specifications as under:
1. Square blocks about 30 to 40 tons and more.
2. Polished sheets.
3. Slabs and square feet tiles etc.
Regular Sand
Actually, regular sand is the scratches of rock produced during river transportation and is composed of all types of rocks like Igneous, Metamorphic, and Sedimentary origins scratches. Some silica is also present in the regular sand along with other rock-forming minerals as traces. This kind of sand is used for construction
Silica Sand
Silica Sand is typically a form of Silicon dioxide (SiO2), made up of two main elements – silica and oxygen. Silica sand is generally composed of fine particles of Quartz, Quartzite, Amethyst, and Citrine.
The most common form of Silicon dioxide is quartz, which is a
chemically inert and hard mineral, broke down into tiny granules
over time through the wind and water called Silica Sand.
It is also known as White sand, Quartz sand and Industrial sand,
that comes with a wide range of shades, mostly white or
colorless. The color of the sand depends chiefly on the rock
detritus and a variety of minerals that make up the resource.
It is obtained by the quartz materials from the sources like
beach dunes and processes them into different types and grades
of sand, and then supplied to different industries for various
applications.
Silica sand possesses some criteria that it must contain, at least
95% silicon dioxide and equal to 0.6 % iron oxide, if not it is
considered as regular sand.
Layered sand stone are very rare in the World that is feasible as
a dimension stone for flooring, facing, and cladding or interior
and exterior.
We have silica layered sand stone which is not only rare but
most expensive quality of dimension stone because silica
sand stone are composed of quartz particles which have the
following standard characteristics:
1. It is very attractive after cutting because of its shining.
2. Silica sand stone grains are more compact interlocked as
compare to regular sand stone.
3. It is very resistant to weathering, corrosion, scratching etc.
GHAZIJ FORMATION
Middle Eocene
COMMERCIAL NAME LAYERED SAND STONE
The silica sand stone deposit is capable to provide SBD
“Standard Block Dimension” and regular blocks. According
to the Geo-Technical report the deposit can provide 10% SBD
and 90% regular blocks to the world marble market.
We can supply it in the following specifications as under:
1. Square blocks about 30 to 40 tons and more.
2. Polished sheets.
3. Slabs and square feet tiles etc.
Composition and Lithology
The deposit is composed of 90% silica sand with minor trace
elements and binders. The deposit is interbedded with minor
shale beds. The beds measure in thickness from 3feet to
6 feet.
Structure of the deposit
The silica sandstone deposited on a large scale in our granted
area with thin to thick sections of beds. The beds are slightly
dipping towards south east.
Texture Fine-grained
Color Gray to light maroon color
Hardness 3 to 3.5
Cladding/Facing
With new texture and color it counts in prime qualities dimension
stones of the world. Tile and slab of this stone quality add new
style, decent color, good dimension and unique Natural Lithological
structure in the stone world.
